IRL is pleased to present MUSCLE MEMORY, an exhibition of new works by Dejan Dukic.

Dejan Dukic’s corporeal works elicit tension. By crafting his own canvases and deftly manipulating his works, Dukic lends them a tactile and sensual quality. His practice is intuitive and playful: using soft clay or magic foam, Dejan allows the operation of chance to determine a work’s final form. In his automatic practice, he employs his hands to massage foam directly onto the canvas, tapping into a sense of childish playfulness. Within his works, a cosmic realm unfolds, where approaching the canvas reveals intricate details while stepping back unveils a macroscopic scape.
