IRL Gallery is pleased to present In Bloom, a group exhibition featuring works by Olga Titus, Tyler Christopher Brown, Clare Doveton, Clara Gesang-Gottowt, Yanqing Pei, and Megan Baker.
Taking the season as both metaphor and mood, In Bloom brings together six artists whose practices explore cycles of emergence, ripening, and transformation. Whether through painterly gesture, material layering, or symbolic reference, each artist engages with a state of becoming—fluctuating between figuration and abstraction, nature and myth, surface and memory.
Across the works on view, botanical forms, floral motifs, and organic textures act as portals—inviting reflection on what it means to bloom, unravel, or return. These gestures are less about depicting nature than about inhabiting its pace: lush, strange, and persistently alive.
The exhibition resists a linear reading of growth. Instead, it considers how personal and collective identities move in and out of focus—like blossoms opening under shifting light. The artists mine their mediums for moments of rupture and renewal, finding poetics in sedimented histories, suspended time, and layered surfaces. Here, blooming is not only an image but a process: tentative, resilient, and always in flux.
