IRL Gallery is pleased to present a series of new works by Tina Shaw.

Tina Shaw is an artist and designer based in upstate New York. Her current practice is centered around epoxy resin and compound paintings, through which she investigates the material tensions between opacity and luminosity, weight and fluidity. These works combine dense sculptural surfaces with vivid color and layered textures, often blurring the line between painting and low-relief sculpture.

Shaw’s compositions harness the physicality of resin—pouring, casting, and embedding elements into surfaces that evoke geological formations or urban decay. Drawing from her background in painting and illustration, she maintains a strong graphic sensibility even within these highly tactile works.

Her recent exhibitions reflect a growing interest in the intersection of industrial materials and painterly process, and her work continues to evolve through experiments in surface treatment and spatial installation.
