FROM ATLA: JENNY HATA BLUMENFIELD, MAYA BEVERLY, ON THE NOSE
We are pleased to announce the inaugural presentation of IRL Gallery’s seasonal outpost in Los Angeles, in collaboration with Los Angeles-based ATLA. Featuring a group exhibition titled "Body Language", the exhibition will coincide with Los Angeles’ Art Week.
"Body Language" highlights the work of 9 women-identifying artists that explore the spiritual bonds between women and the natural world. Presented through the female gaze, contemporary representations of the feminine body aim to challenge the conventions that encircle the female form. By illuminating the cultural, historical, political, and symbolic connections inherent in these explorations, IRL Gallery and ATLA come together to present a diverse range of perspectives. In this exhibition, IRL Gallery’s curatorial focus is on painting and drawing, while ATLA’s curatorial focus is on ceramic and sculpture.

The opening reception will take place on February 24th at ATLA’s gallery space in Echo Park (1545 W. Sunset Blvd.) and will be on view until March 17th.
